Home automation, planned with the lighting.

Automation consultation and implementation for homes, with the lighting and controls chosen together — and seen working at the experience centre.

Overview

Start with how you want the home to behave

Tell us which rooms, which moments and which systems you want to control. We plan the automation around that, and specify lighting with the matching control variant from the start.

Lighting that is ready for control

Many architectural fittings in the catalogue are listed with control variants: CCT and dimming over RF, RF with Bluetooth 5, Zigbee tuneable, DALI DT6, DALI DT8 and TRIAC dimming. RF remotes, 6-key scene switches and strip controllers are listed too.

See it working

Automation is easier to decide on once you have used it. Book a visit and try it at the experience centre.

Proud to work with KNX

KNX is one of the oldest international standards for home and building automation. Its roots go back to 1990, when leading European manufacturers came together to give the electrical installation one common language.

Today KNX is the international standard ISO/IEC 14543-3 and the European standard EN 50090. More than 500 manufacturers build to it, and every product that carries the KNX mark is tested and certified by the KNX Association in Brussels. Asian Emporio is proud to work with KNX.

For your home, that means lighting, curtains, climate, security and audio-visual systems from different makers working together as one system — one that can grow over the years without tying you to a single brand.

KNX, explained

How KNX works, what it can control in a home and the range of products built on it.

  • KNX statistics: 500 KNX manufacturers in 45 countries and 8,000 certified products; 94,103 KNX partners in 171 countries; 515 training centres in 73 countries; 154 certified partners in 36 countries; 22 clubs of professionals in 20 countries; 20 associations of partners; 45 national groups
    Worldwide

    KNX around the world

Manufacturers, certified products, partners and training centres in countries across the world.

  • KNX data transfer: KNX TP over a twisted-pair bus cable, KNX PL over the power line, KNX RF over radio at 868 MHz, and KNX IP over Ethernet cable
    Connection

    Four ways to connect

KNX travels over its own green bus cable, the power line, radio or an Ethernet network.

  • KNX applications: lighting and curtains; heating, ventilation, warm floor and air conditioning; leakage protection, CCTV, motion sensors, fire alarm and intercom; multiroom audio and home theatre
    Applications

One system for the whole home

Lighting, curtains, climate, security and entertainment, all on one KNX installation.

  • KNX topology: bus, star and tree layouts are permissible; circular and mesh layouts are not
    Wiring

How a KNX system is laid out

The bus can run as a line, a star or a tree, but never as a closed loop or a mesh.

  • KNX devices: a 20-channel relay actuator, an 8-channel electric drive control module, a four-button switch with a temperature sensor, a motion and light sensor, and a temperature, CO2 and humidity sensor
    Devices

    Several functions in one device

A single KNX device can do more than one job, such as a switch with a built-in temperature sensor.

  • KNX product categories: lighting, HVAC, system components, blind actuators, switches, touchscreens, multifunction actuators, smart metering, access control, accessories, cables and detectors
    Product range

A complete range of KNX products

Actuators, switches, touchscreens, sensors, metering, access control and cables, all certified to KNX.

  • Zennio MAXinBOX KNX climate modules: Hospitality ZCL-HP126, FANCOIL 4CH2P, FANCOIL 2CH2P v2 and FC 0-10V FAN
    Climate

    Climate control modules

KNX controllers for fan coils and HVAC, designed for homes and hospitality.

The KNX family of devices

Every KNX device, from any certified maker, speaks the same language. These are the kinds of devices we plan into a home.

  • Black glass KNX wall keypad with a brass frame and six backlit scene buttons on a textured plaster wall
    Sensors

    Wall keypads

Scenes, lights and curtains from one elegant plate by the door.

  • Wall-mounted KNX touch panel with a brass frame showing lights, shades, climate and security controls beside a table lamp
    Controllers

    Touch panels

See and control the whole home from one screen on the wall.

  • Ivory KNX room thermostat with a brass ring and a black round display showing 23.5 degrees, in warm afternoon light
    Climate

    Room thermostats

Each room held at the temperature you choose, day and night.

  • White KNX presence detector on a ceiling between two warm recessed downlights
    Sensors

    Presence detectors

Lights that respond when someone walks in, and rest when the room is empty.

  • Open electrical panel with rows of KNX switch and dimming actuators on DIN rails, linked by the green KNX bus cable
    Actuators

    Switch and dimming actuators

Hidden in the electrical panel, doing the switching and dimming for every circuit.

  • Sheer ivory curtains on a slim motorised track, half open on a tall window at dusk in a warm living room
    Shading

    Curtains and blinds

Motorised curtains and blinds that open with the morning and close at dusk.

  • KNX IP router module on a DIN rail with status lights and a network cable plugged in
    System devices

    IP routers and bus power

Connect KNX to your home network, your phone and other systems.

  • Coil of green KNX bus cable with its red and black cores connected to a KNX bus terminal
    Infrastructure

    The KNX bus cable

One green cable that carries commands between every device in the home.
